Job Purpose

Assist in developing and designing innovative technical and design solutions and presentations to showcase concept designs for the company’s interior design business.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Translate the client’s brief into an overall concept design through PPT and sketches after understanding the design requirements from the proposal.
2. Study the client’s website and existing office layouts, and take inputs from the Assistant Director – Design / Directors for better understanding of the client’s requirements.
3. Interact with the client to confirm requirements and study the site to design and finalize the concept within the client’s cost budget.
4. Prepare the overall layout for the site indicating various facilities and utilities, and prepare the concept in terms of sketches, layouts, photos, text, etc.
5. Review the layout against actual site conditions and local norms for the proposals.
6. Work in close collaboration with the Associate Director and BD team to prepare design presentations for proposals.
7. Establish strict quality control procedures for the presentation team to ensure high-quality delivery of designs, including font size, spelling, use of company logos, etc.
8. Maintain up-to-date information on the latest interior and architectural materials and their pricing.
9. Be responsible for Design Docket finalization within the timeline, collaborating with the Team Leader. The Team Leader will provide the input sheet, manpower, information from discussions, etc.
10. Liaise with Team Leaders and the presentation team and provide necessary and timely guidance for look and feel.
11. Ensure that work is executed to the full satisfaction of the customer by a responsive and motivated team and service in a proactive manner.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Interior Design / Architecture with experience in workplace interior design.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in designing, visualization, concept designs for interiors, and overall layouts.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong flair for design and colour perception.
• Skilled in sketching, diagramming, physical and computer modelling.
• Good knowledge of the use and application of building, interior, and architectural materials.
• Knowledge of costs of various raw and bought-out materials used for architectural and interior design.
• Knowledge of price and market trends of various architectural and interior materials.
• Working knowledge of various design software packages for generation and representation of designs, such as Photoshop and Google SketchUp.
• Ability to apply imagination, artistic knowledge, aesthetic perception, and technical skills to express ideas graphically.
• Knowledge of efficient energy use, ergonomics, and ecological planning.
• Encourages others to generate new ideas for innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities.
